HTML in ical/ics files

Following is a demonstration of the handling of html in the description field. Please note that

  1. it is not necessary to code any hyperlink html. The plugin will convert any obvious urls to hyperlinks.
  2. All testing has been validated with the html validator.
  3. the perceived accuracy of the html  depends on how well the application that generates the ics file handles the html.

Google calendar for example, appears to allow one to enter html, but then “tosses” it away if one returns to edit the event.

This ics file was generated by entering html code in a thunderbird calendar. Please open the example ics file in an editor such as notepad to see what the ics file contains.
